  2. Enter the other two numbers.

[ Explained ]

How CPA is calculated

Formula
CPA = ad spend ÷ conversions
Example
Spend 30,000 for 120 leads: cost per lead = 250.

Cost per lead is only half the story. If 1 in 10 leads becomes a customer, your cost per customer is 10 times your cost per lead. Track lead quality, not just volume.

Questions about the CPA and Cost per Lead Calculator

What is the difference between CPA, CPL and CAC?

CPL is cost per lead. CPA is cost per whatever action you count, often a sale. CAC is the full cost of winning a customer, including sales salaries and tools, not just ad spend.

What is a good cost per lead?

One that still leaves profit once you account for how many leads become customers and what a customer is worth. Work backwards: average order value × close rate × margin gives the most you can pay per lead.

Why are my leads cheap but poor quality?

Instant forms with pre-filled details and broad audiences produce cheap, low-intent leads. Add a qualifying question, send conversions back to the platform and optimise for qualified leads.
