How to use the ROAS Calculator
- Choose what to solve for: ROAS, revenue or ad spend.
- Enter the other two numbers for the same date range.
- Compare the result with your break-even ROAS to see if the campaign is profitable.
[ Explained ]
How ROAS is calculated
- Formula
- ROAS = revenue from ads ÷ ad spend
- Example
- Spend 50,000 and earn 2,00,000 in attributed revenue: ROAS = 4, often written 4x or 400%.
A ROAS of 4 does not mean you made a profit. If your product margin is 25%, you need a ROAS of at least 4 just to break even on ad spend.

Questions about the ROAS Calculator
What is a good ROAS?
A good ROAS is one above your break-even ROAS with room for other costs. A brand with 70% margins can grow happily at 2x, while one with 20% margins may lose money at 4x. Work out your own threshold with the break-even ROAS calculator.
Is ROAS the same as ROI?
No. ROAS only compares revenue with ad spend. ROI takes every cost into account, including product cost, shipping, salaries and fees.
Why is my ROAS different in GA4 and Meta Ads?
Each tool attributes sales differently. Meta counts sales after a click or view within its attribution window, while GA4 usually credits the last non-direct click. Pick one source of truth and track the trend.
