[ How to use it ]

How to use the Custom QR Code Generator

    1. Choose what the code should hold: a link, text, Wi-Fi login, email or phone number, and fill it in.
    2. Start from a ready-made style or design your own: pixel shape, corner frame, corner centre, colours and gradient.
    3. Add your logo if you like. The tool raises error correction so the code still scans.
    4. Watch the scan check, then download a PNG (up to 4,096 pixels) or an SVG for print.
    5. Test the code with two different phones before you print or publish it.

    [ Explained ]

Design a QR code that still scans

    Contrast
Phones need a dark code on a light background. Keep strong contrast; the scan check warns you when colours are too close.
    Corner squares
The three big corner squares tell the phone where the code is. Style them freely, but keep them solid and in a dark colour.
    Quiet zone
Leave a clear margin around the code (about four modules). Without it, scanners can struggle, especially on busy backgrounds.
    Error correction
Higher levels (Q or H) let a code survive scratches or a logo in the middle, but make it denser. Use M for plain codes and H when you add a logo.
    Size
As a rough guide, print a code at least 2 cm wide for close scanning, and make it bigger the further away people will stand.

These codes are static: the content is stored in the code itself, so they work forever and nothing is tracked. To measure scans from a link, add UTM tags with our UTM builder before making the code.

    [ FAQ ]

Questions about the Custom QR Code Generator

    Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes with your link or text inside the pattern itself, with no redirect service in between, so they keep working as long as the destination exists.

Can I track how many people scan my QR code?

Static codes cannot count scans by themselves. Add UTM tags to your link with our free UTM builder, then see visits from the QR code in Google Analytics 4.

Which format should I download for print?

SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, ideal for printers and designers. For a quick print or social post, the 2,048 or 4,096 pixel PNG is plenty.

Why does my styled QR code not scan?

Usually low contrast, a light code on a dark background, a logo that is too large, or no margin around the code. Follow the scan check warnings, shrink the logo and test again.

Can I make a Wi-Fi QR code for my shop or office?

Yes. Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name, password and security type, and customers can join by scanning, without typing the password.

    Is my data stored anywhere?

No. The code is generated in your browser. Your links, passwords and logo are never sent to Be12 Media.
